Valentine&rsquo;s Day isn&rsquo;t just about roses and chocolates - it&#39;s a chance to get creative and put your own twist on love, friendship, or maybe even a bit of self-care.

In collaboration with Target, we&rsquo;re looking for the next Fan Designer to build something that represents your take on this day, whether it&rsquo;s a symbol of love, a message from the heart, a sweet treat for your special one or a completely unexpected take on what makes this day special to you. Let your heart and imagination lead the way. &nbsp;

Your submissions must follow the <a href="https://ideas.lego.com/guidelines" target="_blank">Product Idea guidelines</a>, with the following exceptions to those rules:&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>A maximum of 1,000 LEGO Elements.</li>
	<li>No minimum of 200 LEGO Elements.</li>
	<li>While we love flowers, flower bouquets, and flowerpots are not allowed as the main build but can be included as decorations. &nbsp;</li>
	<li>Your submission must be either entirely new creations or expired Product Ideas. Product Ideas that are or were active during the intake of this Challenge will not be accepted.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>No IP references.</li>
</ul>

A judging panel consisting of members of the LEGO Ideas Review Board will select all the entries that participate in a Fan Vote to decide the winning submission.&nbsp;

You may submit as many submissions as you like, however, only one submission per creator will be considered for the Fan Vote.&nbsp;

All entries that reach the Fan Vote phase could be a new LEGO Ideas Product!&nbsp;

A maximum of five (5) entries will be part of the fan vote following the judging process.

The winning entry in the Fan Vote will be compensated as a Product Idea prize winner as outlined in the <a href="https://ideas.lego.com/guidelines" target="_blank">Product Idea guidelines</a> and <a href="https://ideas.lego.com/terms" target="_blank">Terms of Service</a>. Meaning, they will receive the following:

	<li>10 complimentary copies of your LEGO Ideas set&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Credit and bio in set materials as the LEGO Ideas Fan Designer&nbsp;</li>

<h2><a id="howitworks" name="howitworks">How it Works</a></h2>

The challenge will consist of 3 phases:

<ol>
	<li>Submission Phase - Build and submit your entry before October 15th&nbsp;2024 at 6:00 a.m. EST. We recommend submitting your entry 2-3 days before the deadline in the event we have to return it to you for changes.  If your entry is submitted before the intake closing date but is sent back to you for changes, you will have until October 16th 2024 at 6:00 a.m. EST. to resubmit. Resubmissions after this time will not be accepted.</li>
	<li>Judging Phase &ndash;&nbsp;Our judges review the entries between October 16th&nbsp; 2024 and October 28th 2024 and choose the entries for a fan vote. </li>
	<li>Voting Phase &ndash;&nbsp;&nbsp;The fan vote will run from October 28th 2024 to November 4th 2024. LEGO Ideas Members&nbsp;will have one vote and one vote only, to vote for their favorite submission.</li>
	<li>Winners Announcement -&nbsp;We share the winner and who the next Fan Designer is here on LEGO Ideas no later than February 2025!&nbsp;</li>

<h3>How to Enter:</h3>

<ol>
	<li>Submissions may be in either physical bricks or by using a digital building tool such as <a href="https://www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/download.page" target="_blank">Bricklink&rsquo;s Studio</a>. You&rsquo;re welcome to use image editing tools, such as Photoshop, to create your images.</li>
	<li>Upload up to 10&nbsp;images of your creation and submit them to the Challenge. Make sure to show off all angles and any features or functions of your creation. </li>
	<li>Add a title and short description.</li>
	<li>Upload your entry to the challenge using the&nbsp;Submit&nbsp;Entry button on this page.</li>
</ol>

<h2><a id="rules" name="rules">Challenge Rules:</a></h2>

<h3>Acceptable Entry Content</h3>

This challenge will follow the LEGO Ideas Product Ideas Guidelines with minor exceptions or additions to these.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Therefore, make sure you read our <a href="https://ideas.lego.com/guidelines" target="_blank">Product Ideas guidelines</a> thoroughly to make sure your entry can be approved and is eligible for the challenge and review.&nbsp;

Additions or exceptions to the Product Idea guidelines:

<ul>
	<li>Your submission must be either entirely new creations or expired Product Ideas. Product Ideas that are or were active during the intake of this Challenge will not be accepted.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>You are allowed to use any official LEGO element (LEGO System, LEGO DUPLO, LEGO TECHNIC/Constraction) in your entry. The LEGO elements must be genuine (not cut, glued, or otherwise modified). Please be aware that using very old elements that may not exist anymore, and which are crucial to your model, may reduce the chance of your model&rsquo;s potentials success in becoming an official LEGO Ideas set as the element moulds may not exist anymore.</li>
	<li>A maximum of 1,000 LEGO Elements.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>While we love flowers, flower bouquets, and flowerpots are not allowed as the main build but can be included as decorations.</li>
	<li>No IP references.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Entry Quality Standards</h3>

<ul>
	<li>You may submit digital entries using <a href="https://www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/download.page" target="_blank">Bricklink&rsquo;s Studio</a>, which is free of charge to download. You are also welcome to create digital entries using third-party LEGO CAD software. </li>
	<li>You may use photo editing software and add visual effects to photos of your entry.</li>
	<li>Entries containing photos that are too dark or blurry will be removed from the challenge. To ensure easy judging of your entry, we recommend taking pictures on a neutral background free from background clutter, with your model well framed.</li>
	<li>Please do not include people in pictures you submit. Photos containing people will be removed.</li>
	<li>Please do not overlay any text or logos onto your submitted images. &nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<h3>House Rules</h3>

<ul>
	<li>Entries containing defamatory or degrading elements will not be eligible for the challenge.</li>
	<li>Any cheating or harassment of other participants will result in disqualification from the challenge.</li>
	<li>Your challenge entries and comments on challenge entries must follow the complete LEGO Ideas <a href="https://ideas.lego.com/guidelines#house_rules">House Rules</a>.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Submission Requirements&nbsp;</h3>

In order to get your submission approved, your submission must include the following:&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>A title*</li>
	<li>Photos of your build</li>
	<li>A description*&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Entries may have tags*, if you wish.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

* - Submissions should have correct capitalization and not have any spelling mistakes.&nbsp;

<h3>Judging</h3>

A panel of judges consisting of members of the LEGO Ideas review board will select a maximum of 5 entries that will participate in the fan vote.

Judging for the Fan Vote will be based on: &nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Overall coolness and originality: 25% &nbsp;</li>
	<li>Most inspired details: 15% &nbsp;</li>
	<li>Relevance to challenge theme: 45% &nbsp;</li>
	<li>Best use of LEGO elements: 15% &nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<h3>The Fine Print</h3>

<ul>
	<li>You must be at least 16&nbsp;years of age to participate and enter. &nbsp;</li>
	<li>You may submit multiple entries to the challenge, but only one entry per person will be considered for the Fan Vote.</li>
	<li>At the point an entry is selected to be turned into a LEGO Ideas set, the winning fan will be contacted in advance of the public winner announcement via their email address associated with their LEGO Ideas account. They will need to fill out a necessary non-disclosure agreement and copyright assignment agreement documentation.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Winners will be contacted on the email address associated with their LEGO ID account after the 4th of November, 2024. Winners will be announced on LEGO Ideas when all winners have returned the signed Winner&rsquo;s Certification Documents. A winner who does not return their Winner&rsquo;s Certification Document within one week (5 days) of receiving it will be disqualified, and a new winner will be selected. </li>
	<li>Active participation by way of submissions of any kind to this challenge is not open to residents of Iran, North Korea, Myanmar/Burma, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Syria, Russia, or any other country that is subjected to sanctions and where prohibited or restricted by law, for as long as such sanctions remain in place. Submissions in active challenges by residents of Russia will unfortunately not be eligible for prizes as long as sanctions remain in place.</li>
	<li>If you are a resident of Ukraine or Belarus and are selected as a challenge winner, your prizes will be shipped at a later date once shipping resumes normal operation.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>The challenge&rsquo;s fan vote phase is not open to residents of Iran, North Korea, Myanmar/Burma, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Syria, Russia, or any other U.S. sanctioned country and where prohibited or restricted by law. &nbsp;</li>
	<li>By entering the challenge, you agree to follow the rules on this Challenge&nbsp;Brief&nbsp;page&nbsp;and you agree to the LEGO Ideas <a href="https://ideas.lego.com/terms" target="_blank">Terms of Service</a>.   &nbsp;</li>
