Nature: Leaves

Get back to the basics of nature with this collage of leaves, which are made up entirely of plant elements!

The idea behind this design is to encompass how intricate and detailed nature can be, reflecting how detailed and intricate Lego can also be. My personal love for lego is in the tiny details in sets, from hidden story lines to a cool element, or even just a very basic element used in such a clever way that it makes you pause and think "wow!". Each leaf used has been shown in a larger scale, to show the depth of detail!

The four leaves, maple, fig, fern and calathea are all modelled off of a study of real leaves. Trying to keep the colours as matched as closely as possible and using only the plant elements, this is also a nod to the Lego company's values towards sustainable bricks.

I hope this design would be fun yet challenging, and hopefully give someone that same "wow" effect.
