Jimi Hendrix - Woodstock 1969
The Woodstock music festival in New York in the summer of 1969 represented a clear redefinition of an entire music genre for a new generation and a turning point in the culture of the 1960s. Fittingly, the white 1968 Fender Stratocaster played by the featured guitarist Jimi Hendrix iconically stole the show. Dragging into a wet Monday morning, Hendrix famously played his own rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner." The festival has since cemented its place in music history thanks in large part to the icon of Jimi Hendrix displaying his musical prowess on his Fender Stratocaster guitar.
