Rubber Duck and His Tiny Tub

Make a splash with my Great-Grand Rubber Duck! Just look at him—isn’t he great? He even has his own little tub and his duckling riding along.

Rubber ducks have been floating around since the late 1800s—back then, they were actually made of hard rubber and used more like chew toys! It wasn’t until the 1940s that they got their iconic yellow look and became the bathtime buddies we all know and love today. And, of course, Ernie’s “Rubber Duckie” song in the ’70s helped seal the deal.

These little guys are everywhere—even showing up in Jeeps now! It’s one of those classic toys almost everyone’s had at some point.

That’s why I thought it’d be so fun to bring it into the world of LEGO. I first built this for a Read and Build event, and it ended up being one of my favorite MOCs ever. Now, I want to share it with more people who might get the same joy out of it.
