Classic Jukebox
For this contest, I wanted to celebrate an object that never loses its charm: the jukebox. It brings to mind music, fun, and shared memories, and it’s the kind of object you recognize instantly, no matter your age or the time period.
What’s interesting about the jukebox is that it was an early version of on-demand music, like streaming today. It was a way to hear the song you want, when you want it, even before we had smartphones.
My model is about 28 cm tall and made of 1450 pieces. It’s small but perfect for a shelf! I used brown and gold tones for a retro feel, with red, orange, and yellow accents to capture the glowing lights. On the front, you can insert LEGO pieces, and at the back, a hidden scene opens with a vintage diner, a counter, a dancing couple, and a miniature jukebox.
I wanted it to be aesthetically pleasing, interactive, and full of nostalgia. A small model of a classic that still belongs today.
