Sinclair ZX Spectrum
When my brother and I were kids, a neighbor generously gifted us a ZX Spectrum, our very first home computer. We dove into games like Manic Miner and Jet Pac, and even started creating our own.
Launched in 1982/83, the ZX Spectrum quickly became a legendary piece of home computing history, fueling the rapid expansion of the computer and video game industry.
I built this model to capture the sleek and slender curves of the keyboard, which added to its appeal. I carefully assembled each individual decal to replicate every key and command from the original keyboard layout, from POKEs to PEEKs.
The ZX Spectrum is a timeless creation conceived by Clive Sinclair. This model is not only a tribute to his most successful computer design but also a homage to my youth, playing video games (on cassette) with my big brother.
