Wheels of Time (WoT) – Timeless Creations
Creation inspired by the most iconic masterpiece in history . . . The Wheel!
Believed to emanate in solid (unspoked) wooden disc form c.4500BC as a Potter’s Wheel.
Present day life: the Wheel is taken for granted, overlooked & assumed. The Wheel hasn’t changed (it’s still circular)! Any refinements have been with regards to the axle, the perimeter & means of motivity.
My wheels are based on a Traction Engine (akin to my passion for recreating classic Steam Locomotives in LEGO). Featuring: skeletal members; relatively small hub for an axle; minimalist rim carrying a chevron tread tyre.
Dimensions (inc. Base & Wheels):37B(h)x64S(w)x30S(d); 2675P
Breakdown (for LEGO Geeks like myself):
Base: 667P
Wheel Dia. (Large-Small):
Blue: 35B&2PL; 723P
Yellow: 27B&1PL; 563P
Green: 19B; 435P
Orange: 10B&2PL; 287P
KEY: B=Bricks; PL=Plates; S=Studs; P=Pieces (parts/colours available in LEGO catalogue)
AWESOME OBSERVATION (AS AWESOME AS THE WHEEL ITSELF!):
All piece counts are odd numbers!
