Violin With Music
I've been playing violin since I was four years old, so this build represents something very dear to me! I think it would pair very nicely with the Lego Ideas Grand Piano, Jazz Quartet and Fender Stratocaster. I included not only a violin and bow, but a rendition of the blue cover of J.S. Bach's Sonatas and Partitas, a staple of the violin literature, along with a detachable page of music on the back (which in this version contains the first measure of the first Sonata in brick-built Lego form).
The violin depicted here is highly detailed, even including purfling! The chin rest is included with its clamp, along with a tailpiece, fingerboard, a detailed scroll and a pegbox. I wanted to include strings, but LEGO string wasn't long enough. The F-holes are not actually holes but black pieces, to achieve the desired shape. The bow has a silver winding and screw and a detailed frog and tip. The Bach cover uses lots of SNOT techniques to achieve the variety of brick-built letters.
