Coloring Pencils

From the first cave painting, drawing has always been a big part of human history.

For me (and closer to our time), I remember spending countless hours drawing when I was younger, and so for this challenge, I decided to celebrate the coloring pencils.

I based my build on my old coloring pencil case that opened into a stand, which I always thought was ingenious. The build features some of the great colors now available in LEGO bricks, including some of the metallic and neon colors that I remember being wild about when I first got my very own coloring pencil set. I also remember that at least one color was often used more and had to be replaced before the others, which is illustrated by the changing height of some of the pencils.

And let's not forget the pencil sharpener to keep the drawing going!
