Antique Nautical Telescope

The telescope truly is a timeless device that has helped humanity explore our planet and the cosmos around us

My design recreates an Antique Brass Nautical Telescope and has 712 pieces! I was inspired by a real one that I have on my bookshelf.

The Telescope (Optical Tube and Finderscope) has a gold, silver and brass finish. The Tripod Mount is an Alt-azimuth mount to adjust the altitude and azimuth and has a finish to match the telescope. The Tripod was made to look like an antique wooden tripod, with each leg containing adjustable extensions that come out to increase or decrease the height. The Tripod body also has a central column with leg braces to lock the tripod legs in place and keep the telescope upright.
