Lunch Atop a Skyscraper
'Lunch Atop A Skyscraper' is a black-and-white photograph taken on 1932, of eleven ironworkers sitting on a steel beam of the RCA Building, 850 feet (260 m) above the ground during the construction of Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, New York City. It was a staged photograph arranged as a publicity stunt, part of a campaign promoting the skyscraper.
When I saw the challenge topic, I immediately thought of this photo and started working on making it into a Lego set. It was taken in the 1930s, but it's still loved by people all over the world, and I think it's a timeless piece.
A lot of effort has been made to describe the photo, called 'A Piece of American History,' as a Lego set. It was never easy to express photos in Lego. The difficulty was even greater because it was a black and white photo, not a color photo. However, after much effort, I was able to complete the work by utilizing the unique elements and atmosphere of Lego.
Thank you for interest in 'Lunch Atop A Skyscraper' lego set.
