Sony Walkman WM-33
Who doesn't like to walk while listening to music? Today it is a very normal thing to do but in 1979 the idea was revolutionary. Sony launched the Walkman, the device that for the first time allowed people to listen to their favorite music wherever they were. The audio track was recorded onto the tape of a cassette tape, and with headphones people could listen to the song being played.
Of all the existing models the Walkman WM33 of 1983 though entry level became very popular; it had a graphic equalizer function on the front that allowed the user to improve the sound quality by adjusting the high, mid and low tones of the audio. It was produced in black/red, black/blue, and black colors, and today it is a rare and highly coveted collectors' item especially for its red/black color contrast.
The Walkman revolutionized the way music was listened to and disseminated, and today it has become an iconic and nostalgic that undoubtedly deserves a place among revolutionary objects.
