Celebrating Classics: Cosmic Fly-By

This model tells the story of a cosmic explorer on a long mission who once in a while gets to fly past their home base and say hello to their friend through the radiowaves, looking forward to the day they get to see eachother again.

While I wasn't around when the classic space theme first came out, it still has a special place in my heart as my first taste of LEGO toys. As a child I always looked forward to going to my grandparents house so they could bring out their tub of hand-me-down space LEGO. Back then my favourite thing to build with LEGO bricks were cool spaceships to travel through the stars and nothing has changed today.

I hope this build brings a sense of wonder and imagination, and that these two spacebound friends get to see eachother again soon!
