Noh Play and Theater.
I have here constructed a scene from the play Aoi-no-ue (a famous Japanese Noh play) which means “The Lady Aoi.” The stage in the center revolves to show either a wicked oni or the lady Aoi herself by a gear on one side. There are the traditional four musicians (a flautist and three drummers) as well as two others and an aged spectator and a Blakiston’s Fish Owl (a type of owl native to Hokkaido island) is roosting on the roof. In my opinion, Noh plays are a key feature of Japanese culture and are quite entertaining at any rate.
