Mukashibanashi (Japanese Fairytales/Folktales)
昔話 (mukashibanashi) are an integral part of Japanese culture. Ask any local here in Japan, and they'll know these old, sometimes wacky stories that often have a moral to be learned. Children grow up hearing these folktales and legends that have been passed down from generation to generation, and even today there are animations and tv shows that adapt or put a spin on them. This creation was inspired by mukashibanashi and is an assemblage of scenes and characters of some of the most famous ones. From Momotarou to Hanasaka jiisann, Tsuru no ongaeshi, Kintarou, Bunpuku chagama and Urashimatarou, any Japanese person would recognize these, and I hope you might get to know them, too. I had a lot of fun making this build, and it's been so awesome to explore and share some of Japan's culture with you all.
