Miniature Zen Garden
The Zen Garden, or sometimes called "miniature landscapes," originates from the Buddhist Monks of Ancient Japan as a way to practice the meditation of Zen, and features symbolism of nature. Included with the model is a rake used in miniature kits of these gardens, to make the white sand have ripples representing the waves of the ocean. Dug into the sand are rocks representing mountains, with a tree to stand in as an Island, and a large stone lantern.
