A Day in Japan
Inspired by the idea of a single spring day in Japan: where you can ride the Shinkansen, eat sushi, participate in a traditional tea ceremony, and relax under blooming Sakura trees (hanami), all while experiencing the cityscape of Tokyo or catching a glimpse of shy Mt. Fuji as you sit and admire tranquil nature.
It’s hard to celebrate Japanese culture without its mix of ancient and modern. So, I created a diorama of sorts, viewable from multiple angles and arranged to mesh harmoniously.
Fun details:
-Placing the scenes upon the Shinkansen was inspired by Kaitenzushi (Japanese conveyor belt sushi) restaurants, some even have little trains deliver the food
-The tea ceremony man is a samurai
-The sightseeing couple has some Hanami dango to enjoy
-The pink frog by the Sakura tree is a nod to the Bonsai set. There’s also a ladybug hiding in the tree
-Can you spot the cat stalking the sparrow?
This was my first time ever using Studio, I hope you enjoy my best effort.
