The Mythical Creature Kirin (麒麟)
The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear Japanese culture is the fascinating mythical creatures of this unique culture.
The Kirin is said to have a very peaceful nature and is said to only eat plants. Legend has it that it should never trample on the grass it walks on. It is considered an animal of kindness and humanity. There are many different variants of the Kirin: Sometimes it is depicted more as a dragon, sometimes more as a deer or even as a lion. I have tried to fit all things into one being. The red color of the dragon, the mane of the lion and the antlers of a deer.
I particularly enjoyed building the head, although the eyes, which I ended up solving with little robot shoulders, were quite a challenge.
I hope you like it!
