Mountain Hermit's Forest Hut
Mountain hermit leaves for a day of foraging and quiet contemplation. His hut, nestled among the verdant foliage in a Japanese mountain ravine, is a slapdash affair, constructed from the materials the hermit could find in the wilds or carry up the mountain from the small village far below. The hut features several classical Japanese construction elements: kirutsuma- an open gable roof; taruki- rafters that extend from the central beam, supporting the roof; and kayabuki-yane - a thatched roof made of reeds and grasses. The interior features a simple bed roll, brick fireplace, and a table. The hermit requires very few worldly possessions because he spends his time meditating on the beauty and oneness of nature, a practice that exemplifies Japanese tranquility.
I produced this model because I enjoy seeing ideas turn into Lego models.
To be honest, I do not think it should be made into a Lego set. This is a humble offering among many, much more exquisite designs. My first submission.
