Shogi

This is a model of a Shogi set. Shogi is one of the most popular board games in Japan and as such, it is an important part of japanese culture. The game is somewhat comparable to chess. Each player has a number of different pieces which all move in different manners across the board. The objective is to capture the king.

This set consists more than 10000 pieces. The thin black lines that form the grid on the board were made using a very advanced building technique and the characters on the pieces were made to match the actual characters using a wide variety of different Lego pieces and building techniques.

All in all I think I captured the game perfectly in Lego and I believe that this model is a worthy competitor in this challenge.
