Momotaro
Momotaro (ももたろう) is a famous hero of Japanese folklore.
Momotaro was born from a giant peach, and an old, childless couple found him. He was much stronger than other people. When he grew up, Momotaro left his parents to fight a band of demons who marauded over their land. On the way to the Demon Island, Momotaro met a talking dog, monkey and pheasant, who agreed to help him in his quest in exchange for his kibi dango. At the island, Momotaro and his animal friends penetrated the demons' fort and beat them into surrendering. Finally, Momotaro and his new friends returned home with the demons' plundered treasure.
Today, most Japanese families display “Boys' May Festival dolls” made in the image of Momotaro on May 5th, Japanese Boys’ Day.
This doll can replace all the bad luck for the child. They hope the child will be healthy and have a personality of wisdom, courage and loyalty like Momotaro.
Enjoy my LEGO Momotaro and his best friends - dog, monkey and pheasant.
