Quiteness in the Little Things

Hello everyone!

This is my attempt at the "Celebrate Japanese Culture" challenge. As soon as I learnt about it, I decided I had to take part in order to honor such an inspiring culture. Since the topic was related to peace, tranquility and calmness, as well as Japanese culture, I decided to create this scene. It represents a young woman triming a small bonsai tree, praying in a small altar and enjoying the landscape.

The main idea of my creation is to show that even close to big bustling cities, you can find peace and rest, just by doing what you like. And even more in the frame of a Japanese traditional room.

I tried to include some iconic Japanese details, such as a small praying altar with burning incense, a bowl with chopsticks, tatami on the floor, Tokyo's famous radio tower and cherry trees in the background.
