Kitsune Fox Wall Mask
Kitsune are mischievous foxes from Japanese folklore. They are often portrayed as white foxes with up to 9 tails that grow as their wisdom and power increases and are usually seen with with spheres or Hoshi no tama which I have placed upon my Kitsune’s forehead.
Kitsune are masters of shapeshifting and are renowned for imitating beautiful women. To transform they typically place a leaf upon their head, I have included a variety of Japanese maple foliage around my build so this Kitsune can transform whenever it wishes.
Kitsune masks are often a favourite at Japanese festivals they even have a festival dedicated to the fox called the Oji festival. You may also recognise it from Japanese art forms such as Anime or Manga and plays such as Noh and Kyōgen.
This build is a total of 649 pieces and is 30cm x 35cm. The mask alone is Approximately 20cm x 16cm, which is about the size of a human face. It is intended to be hung on a wall to promote intelligence, cunning and a good harvest.
