City in the Sky

In the distant future, the surface of the earth has been overrun with parasitic creatures. These beings seemed harmless at first but they caused widespread destruction, driving many species to extinction. To escape the onslaught of parasites, humans retreated to the only place still safe: the sky.

All countries and nations pooled all of their resources and knowledge to create a massive artificial island the size of Australia, with a massive propeller underneath. This feat of engineering was powered by many solar panels within the buildings. since then, they have remined in the sky for many generations, fearful of what may be happening down below the blanket of clouds.

I had a lot of fun coming up with different skyscraper ideas. this model is also built in micro-scale, so i tried to put as much detail as the Lego bricks would allow me to.
