Reflections: The Girl Who Didn't Know Herself
Sometimes in stories, we have a moment of reflection where we see how much a character has grown in comparison to how they started. This set depicts that moment by showing the beginning and end of the story. The Girl Who Didn't Know Herself is about a girl who didn't know who she was and didn't have the language or understanding to realize that she didn't know herself. When a character is unhappy, we call that a low point, but when a character doesn't even know that they're unhappy, we call that a tragedy.
When the young girl looks in the mirror, does she imagine her future or shrink away from her reflection? When the woman looks at her reflection, does she see through it to her past life, or does she simply marvel at her own beauty? If we look closely, we see that she still holds onto cherished memories from her past; a reminder that there's light even in dark times.
How did she finally overcome her obstacles and find herself? Perhaps that is best left to your imagination.
