Driving Into the Brazilian Sunset
With the unbelievable speed of the dominant Mclaren MP4/4, Senna was often 'driving into the sunset', streaking away from his competitors in the 1988 World Championship.
I have built a diorama to celebrate Ayrton Senna in the MP4/4 which is inspired by this phrase! It depicts Senna driving into (and out of) the distance on an F1 track at sunset!
The model features a track with iconic red and white kerbs which uses forced perspective to appear to vanish in the far distance. There is also a sunset inspired backdrop where I have included the impression of the Brazilian flag. The MP4/4 is built to scale with the Senna minifigure who sits behind the wheel.
The model has 720 parts in total, with 146 used for the car itself.
I hope you enjoy my entry: 'Driving into the Brazilian Sunset'!
