Hawkins Palace Arcade

For the Iconically Stranger Things contest I created the Hawkins Palace Arcade in full scale. 

After thinking about what makes lego great when it comes to these pop culture sets, I realized what I loved most about them is the high level of detail they can bring to these key sets we've all come to know and love.

Palace Arcade is where we first find out about Mad Max, the first time we see the big bad of season 2, where Lucas lets Max in on the secrets of their party. Its where the old of season 1 came together with the new of season 2 and it was one of the most vibrant as far as color and scenery. I went back to the show and I found way more than just the arcade machines, I saw air hockey tables, a prize booth, skee ball booths and the back office where Max learns of Season 1. My model attempts to bring that to life for stranger things fans the way that the simpson builds did for that fan fare. 

Additionally, I felt that a retro arcade feel appeals to fans of legos and not just the show.
