Princess Mononoke: San's Mask

The 1997 animated film Princess Mononoke by Studio Ghibli is one of their most well known movies and a favourite among fans. This is the Studio Ghibli film that I watched most and I therefore wanted to make something from this movie.

I chose to build the mask used by one of the movie's main characters called San. I chose this because it is an awesome design and is instantly recognizable to anyone who has seen the film. The build has 625 pieces, including 82 wing pieces to create the fur around the mask. The mask can be displayed on a stand or it can be hung on a wall. Also included is a minifigure of San with her mask.

I think this would be a great set as Studio Ghibli has a lot of fans who would love to see a LEGO set based on one of Studio Ghibli's most famous movies. It is a cool display piece that can be hung on a wall if people run out of room to display their sets, but it also looks cool next to other mask and helmet sets that LEGO has made in the past few years.
