Edward Scissorhands

This entry is based on the main character from Tim Burton's classic Edward Scissorhands. For the first phase of this contest about the 1990s, I also designed an entry inspired by this movie, but on that occasion, I aimed to encompass the entire universe that gives structure to the film. In this second phase of the contest, I decided to focus on the main character and his psychology.

I drew inspiration from one of the original posters of the movie, which shows a butterfly resting on the scissors that Edward has for hands. For my model, I added the presence of the topiary sculpture in the shape of a hand, which is located in front of Edward's house in the film. I believe all these symbols truly help to understand the drama of this character, as well as his inner delicacy. I think this model would be a great tribute to this 90s classic!
