Groundhog Day (1993)
Here we go again... when the radio clock on the bedside table at the Cherry Tree Inn starts to play "I got you, babe" once it flips from 05:59 to 06:00 on Feb 2 for Groundhog Day to start over once more.
Combining (tragic) comedy, romance & the intricacies of a never-ending life GROUNDHOG DAY has become a timeless classic featuring an outstanding performance by Bill Murray as a cynical reporter who gets inexplicably stuck in a time-loop (which some believe to last several decades) and eventually finds a reason to live.
My build shows key moments in the storyline: the recurring opening scene with Rita, Phil's hotel room in the morning and the calm, snowy front yard when it's finally Feb 3. The sign alludes to the original movie poster.
It combines 4 different scales of Lego-building: the main scene is build in minifigure size, the snowy front yard is microscale with an even smaller scale used for the town below the title-sign & then there's the big alarm clock - a fun (winter) build!
