Forrest Gump: Box of Chocolates
Inspired by Forrest Gump, this project seeks to capture the magic of life’s unpredictable journey through the whimsical lens of Minilanders. Using their playful, childlike aesthetic, I’ve aimed to reflect how Forrest sees the world—with wonder, simplicity, and an open heart.
Based on Winston Groom's novel, Forrest Gump became one of the most iconic films of the 1990s. It begins in 1981, a year after my own birth, at a bus stop in Savannah, Georgia. There, Forrest recounts his extraordinary life to strangers on a bench. His odyssey is a threefold tapestry of humor, heartache, and humanity—a tale of debatable wisdom but undeniable heart.
"Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
