Romeo & Juliet 1996: The Balcony of Eternal Love

Romeo sneaks into the Capulet mansion and climbs up to meet Juliet on the balcony. The setting contrasts the romantic moment with the modern, edgy architecture and the glowing blue pool below. The entire building is standing on the storybook.

The balcony scene is one of the most iconic moments in the story - William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet 1996 by Baz Luhrmann. This version features unique modernized elements like neon lights, sharp angles, and lush greenery around the pool. It offers opportunities to create an elevated structure with distinct layers: the balcony, the ground level with the pool, and Romeo standing below.

I used translucent blue tiles for the pool. Architecture is represented with dark orange, medium nougat, and tan elements. Juliet's balcony incorporated arches, vines, and birds. The model includes minifigures of Romeo and Juliet with detailed 90s-inspired outfits.
