Dragon Ball - Shenron
"Tell me your wish!"
I wish for an easily affordable Dragon Ball LEGO set! And I don't think there is anything more representative of Dragon Ball than the dragon that can be summoned by collecting all the Dragon Balls.
I aimed to keep the piece count and printed elements to a minimum while preserving the majesty of the Eternal Dragon. While printed pieces are necessary to give his body its iconic color scheme, I designed them so that only two unique prints are required for the entire dragon.
I couldn't stop at just building Shenron, because the most popular character in the anime isn't the Eternal Dragon—it's Goku, one of the most recognizable figures in all of media. However, this still left me with the dilemma of choosing which version of Goku to include. I chose his younger version, as I believe it would be more in line with the LEGO brand.
I ended up using 292 pieces for this LEGO set, aiming for a lower price range.
