Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers

Cracking LEGO set Gromit!

Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers was released in 1993 by Aardman Animations and is the second stop-motion animated film to feature Wallace, an eccentric inventor and his trusty dog, Gromit.

I wanted to recreate the iconic train chase sequence from the film, featuring the duo attempting to catch the criminal mastermind penguin, Feathers McGraw.

I’ve tried to capture the chaotic movement of the scene with Gromit’s ears flowing in the wind, Wallace’s legs flung up in the air and Feathers carrying his swag bag over his shoulder. I am particularly pleased with the way the build captures the expression of all three characters: Feathers’ undeterred menace, Gromit’s steely determination and Wallace’s surprise about the whole situation.

The build consists of 918 pieces. I think this set would be a fun addition to any collection and a great time to release it after the success of the recent film “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl”.
