Princess Mononoke - The Forest Spirit
From the brilliant mind of Hayao Miyazaki, the Forest Spirit is the mighty god of nature from the film Princess Mononoke, a deer-like creature who creates life with its mere presence.
This diorama features the Forest Spirit in its tangible shape, like a giant deer with hundreds of antlers, a human-like face and a long white beard. It's surrounded by the Kodamas, little spirits that live in the trees, and walking in a lush forest; but if you look closely, nature dies when the Forest Spirit walks away, as you can see in the withered footprint it leaves under its raised hoof.
Every Kodama has a different head shape, but all of them's heads can be turned in weird angles, just like the ones in the movie. The diorama is completed with the mask that Mononoke wears to disguise herself as a wolf.
