Southern California Cruisin'
Wouldn't it be cool to just ride a Ducati down a normal street in Southern California? That's what I thought when making this project entry. There isn't anything particularly glamourous about the location, but that's what I was trying to achieve with it. It's just a real place, a place where that if I ever got the chance to drive a Ducati, it would probably be where I would drive it. With the build for this, I wanted to capture the feeling of a real, genuine, Southern Californian street. It took a lot of hard work and effort to achieve the desired look, but I'm very happy with how it turned out and all the little details that I put into it. The model includes a road, a parking lot, and a few stores with Minifigures hanging out around them. It also includes the Ducati, which in order to give it it's iconic shaping, I took the preexisting lego motorcycle frame and modified it slightly with some extra pieces to give it the more slanted Ducati look.
