Coast(ering) to that Trophy!

This design is made up of mostly Lego Technic. Most pieces are primarily technic and reinforces the common gold color associated with trophies. 

Yes there is a track on the rim! The winner of this trophy is able to rotate their trophy, and through centripetal force, proudly see their award in action as the cart rotates around the track. The cart is designed with smooth elements, but yet includes fire power to “propel” itself around in circles. The cart also includes a trophy mounted in the passenger seat to resemble a trophy riding around on top of the main trophy. A Lego Minifigure can also be placed in the cart as well.

Due to the scientific nature of the event, gears were also incorporated. On the base of the trophy towards the back, there is an element that allows the trophy winner to rotate the gear and allow the event logo to rotate back and forth. Additionally the logo can manually rotated and angled up and down.
