FIRST LEGO League Trophy 2018

The Trophy represents a group of young people working together as a team (holding hands) to generate ideas and solutions (the light bulb) to solve challenges (the question mark).

The people are standing on a large cog which rotates freely (around the fixed question mark) and represents the thought processing of the brain. This exercise takes place within the safety, support and guidance of FIRST (the three mathematical shapes from its logo) and LEGO Education (the four LEGO-yellow struts which form a pyramid). The pyramid shape is a strong mathematical and engineering shape, and also represents striving for the best (ie to be at the pinnacle). Science and technology are directly represented by the “computer screen” mount and robot minifigure (robot-building and programming), which also adds a bit of fun!

The model is extremely solid and stable. All the pieces are properly connected and available from sets within the last year. Its footprint is 14 x 18 studs, and it stands 44 studs tall.
