A Skeleton's Escape

The weathered headstone and SNOT-built landscape combine to provide an eerie, cemetery backdrop for this challenge entry. What makes the design particularly scary, at least if you’re a minifigure-sized person, is the size of the massive skeleton emerging from the ground and clawing its way out of the grave. Like the Titans of ancient mythology, this colossal entity is ready to send fear shivering down the spine of anyone it encounters. If that wasn’t terrifying enough, this particular plot of land is also home to a nightmarish looking tree whose frightening flowers might try to devour any curious onlookers who wander too close.

The base of this build fits within a 32x32 footprint and it is roughly 20 bricks tall. It uses available bricks and colors so it could be fully brick-built in the future. The inspiration came from the fact that this challenge mentioned “evil looking landmarks” and a tombstone quite literally marks the land where a burial site is located.
