Astronaut in Space and Control Centre

My model includes a brick built astronaut who is connected to a small space station and a busy control centre. There are computers and people assembling a rocket engine in there. When I read STEM I immediately wanted to build something related to space, as there have been countless technological and engineering innovations regarding space which easily fit the category of STEM. I also decided to make this model because I thought that the cherry-picker bucket made a very good astronaut helmet.

Containing 345 pieces I think this would make a great Lego set as it can be kept together and displayed, and the astronaut is posable, or it can be played with as a whole or separately (astronaut + space station, control centre). Among other reasons, there are lots of open studs for the minifigures to be placed during imaginary play.

I am very keen on all aspects of STEM but I especially like the engineering of space travel.
