The Natural Engineer
One of the biggest challenges currently facing Engineers from all fields is the need to make their designs environmentally sustainable. This build shows an imagined office building of the future. By using passive heating and cooling, solar panels, wind turbine and solar water heating, it may be possible to reduce, or even remove, the need for fossil fuels.
This build also highlights the importance of incorporating plants into our human-made environments. As well as oxygenating the air and providing homes for wildlife, plants can reduce the impact of flooding, help to prevent landslides and improve everyone's mental well-being.
This design uses 959 pieces. In the 4th image, the back wall has been removed to allow a clearer view of the interior.
