Greatest Inventions (Of Humanity)

My idea was to show the most important inventions and discoveries in human history. It was also a great opportunity to refresh my history knowledge. 1k limit is a real challenge, unfortunately I had to miss out some important inventions, like the telephone or the internet.

Pre-history: Fire was one of the most important discoveries approx. 2 million years ago.

4800 BC: Invention of wheel made everyday tasks and transport simplier.

1440: The first mechanical printing press.

1776: Steam engine was invented in 17th century and was improved / perfected later.

1879: The first successful US patent for light bulb (it was invented earlier).

1903: The first flight.

1961: Human in space for the first time.

1971: First PC released.

2023 and beyond: Noone knows what future brings... :)
