The Yawning Portal Inn - Modular Build

The Yawning Portal Inn - a haven and stepping off point for parties new and old – is a 2997 piece modular design in minifigure scale of 4 studs=5ft.

Founded 1306DR in Waterdeep on the remnants of Halaster Blackcloaks Tower, it provides a public route into the Undermountain… and adventure.

It has 36 stone and 16 wooden wall modules, an array of furnishings to decorate your favourite dungeon or lair including the legendary demon head fireplace, a measuring stick and the portal itself. Four characters, two NPCs, orcs and kobolds for a first level encounter, and a Bad Guy round off the set.

Designed to be reconfigured into new dungeon layouts, examples shown here include a throne room currently occupied by the Grand Vizier, and a summoning room with a Wizard reconsidering their choices.

First appearing in 1987, the Inn has had many iterations across books, boxed sets, maps and games, including Descent to the Undermountain in which our Beholder appears - and now finally in LEGO!
