The Critical Hit: 50 Years of D&D
The rogue is locked in a deadly embrace with what seemed to be a simple treasure chest, but has proven to be more dangerous. As the fighter and the cleric rush to their aid, a crash rings out, and an enormous beholder bursts through the castle walls. As the clock approaches midnight and the pizza grows cold, one player takes a twenty sided die and rolls a fateful critical hit. The barbarian, already flown into a rage, leaps through the air, her axe going directly into the creatures slathering jaws…
A creation to celebrate fifty years of tabletop adventures, combining the game night of a group of good friends with the pivotal moment of an encounter as they imagine it. Containing a giant beholder, a mimic, a human fighter, a gnome wizard, a dwarf cleric, an elf bard, a human rogue, a half orc barbarian, their respective players and a DM in a thin slice of the action both inside and outside the mind.
Approx. 2,000 pieces.
