In the Death Tyrant’s Lair

When I think of the quintessential Dungeons and Dragons experience that unites all generations and editions, I think of the boss fight. The excitement, anticipation, and dread of a final challenge, the moment it all has led to. After fighting through the ruins of a derelict castle, the party find the villain in its lair: an old and crumbling royal tomb. The undead Beholder floats above them, a wicked grin on its skeletal face. Floating pink eyes glare down at them, each a powerful weapon. Will the party triumph or find themselves amongst the piles of bones that fill the old coffins?

The set sits on a 10”x10” baseplate with an easily removable bridge for the party to come charging in on. It features a Dwarven cleric, an Aasimar paladin, an Earth Genasi barbarian, a Drow rogue, and a Tiefling sorcerer, each armed and ready for battle. And no boss encounter is complete without loot. The party can find riches, weapons, and magical items within the Death Tyrant’s hoard, a fitting reward
