The Mimic!

You travel down the dark corridor, torch in hand, glancing over your shoulder to ensure no one is there to sneak up on you. Suddenly, a glint in the dark catches your eye! Behold! A beautiful shining chest gleams in the dark, the gold trim reflecting the fire of your torch. You reach out to open it and...the chest flings open to reveal it's a mimic! Role for initiative!

The moment I saw the challenge to build something from Dungeons and Dragons, I knew I had to make the iconic Mimic. Years of players being fooled by the possibility of wonderous treasures inside has made the Mimic a regularly-sighted monster in many campaigns.

The model is 684 total parts, with a hinged lid (or maw), individually posable teeth, posable eyes, and movable handles, the Mimic is a sight to behold! Maybe check the back of the chest before trying to open it next time, their might just be hint to it's true nature!
