A Trek Through Neverwinter Wood
We've all been there: your party walking and talking and laughing as you set out into the unknown, the forest promising adventure. Your wagon rolls along the beaten dirt path, and your spirits are high. The sounds of nature fill your ears. The party, though different for everyone, contains many of the same archetypes:
The noble-in-training, anxious to get away from her life and into the world.
The young wizard, excited to use his new spells.
The apprentice ranger, eager to prove herself to her corps.
The youthful rogue, ready to pilfer the pockets of a new town.
And the paladin, who is unsure what exactly his new oath does.
Together they will set out into a dark world, calling upon each other for help in times of need. If Dungeons & Dragons is anything, it's the connections we forge with our fellow (not always human) beings, both in the wonderful multiverse and in real life, where they will change us for the better. It's not the place, it's the people you share it with.
